BIOCERT & INSPECTIONS Ltd is a training and consultancy firm that offers specialized services to horticultural businesses in Kenya. The company was set up in 2017 to assist SMEs in the setup and (pre-) auditing of Organic and GLOBALG.A.P. certified management systems, Fair Trade standards, Sedex members Trade Audits (SMETA) BCSI, GRASP, Rainforest Alliance Network, etc.

The company operates from Nairobi, Kenya with 6 technical staff (3 full-time technical personnel, 2 on a contract basis) and a full-time administration Manager. The technical staff assists companies throughout the certification process, and/or to respond to specific needs (such as internal audits). Main activities hence consist of the provision of technical assistance, training, and pre- auditing. The director does not participate in technical assistance activities as he is a lead auditor for an international certification body but provides guidance to his staff to ensure high-quality results.

Biocert works with horticultural exporting companies, processing companies, and producers. Some of the clients handled by the management team include Mofarm Fresh Fruits Exporters Limited, Hannjo Nuts Ltd, Impex Vyapar, ConFrank Investments Limited, Horizon Horticulture Ltd. Laazizi Logistics, and Supplies Ltd, Bralison Invest Company EPZ Ltd, Kwalito ltd, Stella Rasmussen Ltd. Geographical scope of the interventions have covered Kenya and other African countries.
